Alexandra Park 5K/10K

Race Day Information

Registration

Our Registration desk will be located beside Saracen Fountain. All runners will pick up their race packs at the registration desk. The registration desk will open at 8:45am and close at 9:45am. Your race number will be attached to the front of your top and we will have plenty of safety pins.

Bag Drop

We will have a bag drop located beside Saracen Fountain. Please try and limit the number of belongings you bring with you on event day. Our bag drop will be open from 8:45am. 

​

Toilets

We will have toilets situated just beside the Saracen Fountain, on the main path. The toilets are very close to the start/finish line and the registration area. 

​

Warm-Up

Our warm-up will be taken by The Gym Group. The warm-up will commence at 9:45am and last for 10 minutes.

 

Race Start

Both the 5k and 10k races will start at the same time of 10am.  

​

Water Station

We will have a water station located on the course, just before you finish the loop at the 2.5km mark. You will pass this twice for the 5k and 4 times for the 10k.

The Course

The course is a 2.5k loop around Alexandra Park. The 5k will be 2 laps and the 10k will be 4 laps. Please keep count of the laps during your race. The course will be fully marked with km markers, arrows and course marshalls.

Finish Line

Please keep moving as you cross into the finish funnel to collect your medal and post-race goodies supplied by our partners.

Pictures

Not everyone may be photographed during the race but we will try to capture as many of you as possible. The race day photos will go up on our Facebook page a day or two after the event. We encourage you to share your images of our event on your socials. Please tag us @upandrunningevents and use the hashtag #upandrunningevents for a chance to win a free ticket to our next race!
